Just wrapped up the 2015 Seattle Wedding Show. The show takes place every year in January. This year there were over 400 vendors and around 7,500 guests all mingling, cheering on the dancing models in the fashion show, tasting wedding cake and planning their big events! 😉

Myself (and likely all vendors and SWS staff) are happily exhausted. LOL. But before I crash I want to be sure and thank a few people who made this year so special!

Special Thanks to:
Gary Smith
John Warner
Lynell Smith
Jen Germain
Dylan Mander

Thank you so much for all of your help! We couldn’t have done it without you. 🙂

Also I want to congratulate Sal Floral Design on winning best booth this year! It was truly SPECTACULAR!

Every Wedding Should Have a Drag Queen . . .

By | Gay Weddings, How to . . ., Seattle Wedding Videographer

Recently I filmed a wedding at the Mayflower Park Hotel in downtown Seattle. From start to finish this gay wedding was just an absolute blast!

I became very close to the grooms EK & Mike through the planning process. They spared no expense from the release of doves, to signature cocktails, to a gorgeous rental house in West Seattle to party and get ready in before the events even got going. So when they told me that there was going to be a Drag Queen coming to close the event I wasn’t surprised. However I had no idea just how GREAT Ms. Tina Turner’s performance would be.

She had the whole party on their feet, laughing, dancing, and having a great time. Even grandma was “Rolling Down the River” with Tina by the end of the night. It was great! From now on I think every wedding should close with a Drag Queen! 😉

A Perfect Rainy Day Wedding . . .

By | Gay Weddings, Seattle Wedding Videographer

We all know that if you plan an outdoor wedding in Seattle you better have a back-up plan. Today was one of those days. But my 2 brides, Penny & Loree didn’t let it get them down. In fact it was like it was meant to be. 🙂 The overcast made for a cozy vibe and very flattering light in the penthouse suite. As the Washington State Ferries cruised the Puget Sound behind the gorgeous couple they said they’re vows surround by friends, family and even their adorable dog joined in as the ring bearer.

Seattle’s Gay-Friendly Wedding Videographer . . .                          Pixel Dust Weddings

When Jill & Sara first contacted me I was already booked on another gig on the day of their wedding. They were so disappointed though and it broke my heart when they told me that they REALLY wanted to book with me (not only because they liked my work) but because they heard I was a Gay-Friendly Videographer and apparently some other Videographers weren’t so friendly… It shocked me to learn that they found some vendors that weren’t friendly to them!!

Like I said this broke my heart and I really liked them too so I immediately called up my corporate client and asked if they could possibly reschedule. Luckily it all worked out and I was able to film Jill & Sara’s big day.

I felt moved enough to write this post because I want all couples, gay or straight, to know that myself and my team would love to be there with you on your big day!

When we heard about the event and that the Café had offered to hold the event for free in support of a good cause we called them up and offered our services free of charge as well. It was such an emotional day. My husband was assisting me that day and we both were so moved. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house. What a fabulous day!
