A Perfect Rainy Day Wedding in Seattle. . .

By Seattle Wedding Videographer

We all know that if you plan an outdoor wedding in Seattle you better have a back-up plan. Today was one of those days. But my 2 brides, Penny & Loree didn’t let it get them down. In fact it was like it was meant to be. 🙂 The overcast made for a cozy vibe and very flattering light in the penthouse suite. As the Washington State Ferries cruised the Puget Sound behind the gorgeous couple they said they’re vows surround by friends, family and even their adorable dog joined in as the ring bearer.

the Saddest Call from a Bride . . .

By Bainbridge Island Wedding Videographer, How to . . ., Seattle Wedding Videographer

Late one night I received the saddest call from a Bride…

Apparently she hired a guy to film her wedding video and he didn’t deliver the video they had agreed upon (I won’t go into details about how unhappy she was with him or why because I don’t feel that would be right . . .). Needless-to-say she was very unhappy and deserved a real wedding video so I agreed to help.

Sofiya sent me the raw footage from her and Yanik’s wedding and I was able to sort through them and find clips that with a little editing and color correction magic would work. Unfortunately the original audio wasn’t captured correctly so we couldn’t create a longer wedding video but we could make her a highlight video of her big day.

Seattle’s Gay-Friendly Wedding Videographer . . .                          Pixel Dust Weddings

When Jill & Sara first contacted me I was already booked on another gig on the day of their wedding. They were so disappointed though and it broke my heart when they told me that they REALLY wanted to book with me (not only because they liked my work) but because they heard I was a Gay-Friendly Videographer and apparently some other Videographers weren’t so friendly… It shocked me to learn that they found some vendors that weren’t friendly to them!!

Like I said this broke my heart and I really liked them too so I immediately called up my corporate client and asked if they could possibly reschedule. Luckily it all worked out and I was able to film Jill & Sara’s big day.

I felt moved enough to write this post because I want all couples, gay or straight, to know that myself and my team would love to be there with you on your big day!

When we heard about the event and that the Café had offered to hold the event for free in support of a good cause we called them up and offered our services free of charge as well. It was such an emotional day. My husband was assisting me that day and we both were so moved. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house. What a fabulous day!

The Seattle Wedding Show is where couples from all over the Northwest come to plan their big day.  With over 400 of Seattle’s top wedding vendors there to meet, offer discounts and show off their stuff this event is a must see for any engaged couple to attend.

This year there were over 7,000 attendees cruising the booths, sampling the cakes, and trying on dresses.  As a vendor it’s so much fun to meet all the couples and chat about their dream wedding.

For more info on the show or to get tickets for next years event please visit their site at:   weddingshow.com
