As a wedding videographer who has worked on the Olympic Peninsula, I can confidently recommend this beautiful region to couples looking for a unique and unforgettable wedding destination. The Olympic Peninsula is a stunning location that offers breathtaking views and a wide range of wedding venues that can accommodate any wedding style or budget.
One of the biggest advantages of getting married on the Olympic Peninsula is the photo and video backdrops that this region offers. With its majestic mountains, dense forests, and ample water views, the Olympic Peninsula is a nature lover’s paradise. From the Olympic National Park to the Hood Canal, the photo and video opportunities are endless.
The Olympic National Park offers some of the most stunning backdrops for wedding photos and videos, including the Hoh Rainforest, Hurricane Ridge, and Lake Crescent. These locations provide a truly unforgettable setting for a wedding, with their natural beauty and breathtaking views.
For couples who want to incorporate the local culture into their wedding, the Olympic Peninsula offers a range of venues that reflect the region’s history and heritage. One such venue is the Kiana Lodge, located in Poulsbo. This beautiful lodge is situated on a private beach and offers stunning views of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains. The Kiana Lodge features traditional Native American art and decor, making it a unique and culturally significant wedding venue.
One of the challenges of getting married on the Olympic Peninsula is the ferry ride that many out-of-town guests will need to take to get to the wedding venue. While the ferry ride can be an enjoyable experience for guests, it is important to warn couples about potential delays and traffic during peak travel times. However, the ferry ride also provides an opportunity for guests to enjoy the stunning scenery of the Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains.
Despite the challenges, there are many reasons why couples should consider getting married on the Olympic Peninsula. For one, the region offers a wide range of wedding venues that can accommodate any budget or style. From rustic lodges to elegant waterfront estates, there is something for every couple on the Olympic Peninsula.
Overall, the Olympic Peninsula is a beautiful and unique wedding destination that offers breathtaking views and a wide range of venues to choose from. From the Olympic National Park to the Hood Canal, there is no shortage of stunning backdrops for wedding photos and videos. While there may be some challenges to getting married on the Olympic Peninsula, the experience is well worth it for couples who want a truly unforgettable wedding day.

A: Bainbridge weddings are known for amazing views of Puget Sound and a ferry ride excursion to get there.

Q: Advantages of having a wedding in Bainbridge or Poulsbo?

A: Convenience for parking on site.

A: Almost all Bainbridge and Poulsbo wedding venues have ample photo/video backdrops on site. This make it easy and efficient to get a variety of photos with multiple groups.

A: Most of the times your guests can use a ferry to go to and from your wedding venue. This can be a great experience for out of town guests. Just remind them in the summer to leave a ferry or two early so they arrive on time

Q: My personal favorite venue to film at in Bainbridge and Poulsbo?

A: My favorite wedding venue on the Olympic Peninsula is Heronswood Gardens. This is because these gardens are unbeatable in terms of size and variety. However Heronswood is located on the very northern tip of the Olympic peninsula so for a more convient spot with almsot as great of a garden I recommend Kiana Lodge.

Q: How long before your wedding should you be trying to book a Bainbridge wedding venue?

A: It is recommended to book a Bainbridge wedding venue at least 1-3 years in advance to guarantee your first choice. If you choose to hold your a wedding mid-week or on a Sunday you will have a little more leeway as there is less demand for these dates.
